Human service users are experts for the services they use. Therefore, it is important to include them when it comes to developping new services. Co-designing is an open innovation process in which the experiences and needs of users are the compass and drivers of innovation.
The Innovation Booster "Co-Designing Human Services" invites citizens, users of health and social services and professionals from these sectors to network. The aim is to form "innovation teams" so that they can jointly develop an innovative response to an important need related to the annual theme. Through networking and exchanges, they elaborate their project and develop an innovation idea: how can new (or known!) problems be better solved? What could new services look like? How can the position of users in human services be improved? What are the new forms of cooperation between institutions, services, organisations and users? What could be new and better forms of support for socially and/or health disadvantaged groups?
